Aline Castanhari

Brazilian, 33 years old, born and raised in the countryside of São Paulo, Brazil, currently in the UK. Aline Castanhari, Ali, is a passionate multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. Her first album, “All Around Me” was released in 2012 independently in Brazil. In 2018, she released her solo live project “Old Songs for Old Souls” in Montreal, Canada. In 2019, she started playing as a licensed musician in Montreal's public spaces (busking) as well as cafes and pubs.

Rock Ballads tribute is a classic rock tribute but not only that. Each song has a unique version created through the balance between the song’s identity and its possibilities of adaptation. The result is very related to Aline’s style, which includes soft vocals, fingerstyle and a good amount of emotion.

​

Rock Ballads was developed and released on the streets, thus the biggest challenge was to face an unpredictable and broad public. From the toddler to the elder, from the fanatic rock fan to the layperson. For this reason, the repertoire and the arrangements were adjusted to meet the diversity of the public. The goal was to please a rock fan or make a family come over to dance, or even an old woman to stand by and appreciate the melodic guitar and the velvety voice.

Besides the rock tribute project, Ali also dedicates herself to the composition on the guitar and piano.
